R U OK? Round is Townsville Junior Touch Football's annual awareness round, held in support of R U OK? — the charity behind R U OK? Day that encourages meaningful conversations around mental health.
Our R U OK? Round is all about inspiring everyone to ask that simple but important question: “Are you OK?” and start a conversation that could change a life.
We believe in the work of R U OK?, an organisation dedicated to helping people meaningfully connect with those around them and support anyone who might be struggling with life’s challenges. Conversations that show care and support can make a huge difference — and when we invest time in our relationships, it makes it easier for people to speak up and seek help early.
In 2025, R U OK? Round will be held across two nights of our junior competition at Queens Park:
Across both nights, we’ll turn the spotlight yellow, celebrate the importance of connection, and raise funds to support R U OK?.
Supporting R U OK? Round is as simple as wearing something yellow at Queens Park!
There’s only one rule — when you play, you must wear your normal club playing shirt/singlet. Beyond that, you’ve got plenty of freedom to get creative. Over the years we’ve seen yellow socks, bandanas, zinc, shoelaces, and even players dyeing their hair! For this round only, yellow shorts will also be permitted instead of your club shorts.
Here's some ideas:
The brighter and bolder, the better — get your whole team involved and make a statement.

Every dollar raised helps R U OK? continue their mission of encouraging life-changing conversations.
R U OK? Round is more than just a theme round — it’s a reminder to our junior players, referees, parents, and supporters that mental health matters at every age. It’s a chance to show that in our touch football community, no one has to struggle alone.
So wear yellow, start a conversation, and help us spread the message: It’s OK to ask, R U OK?
