Selected amongst a host of touch football stars, a small few stood out above the rest; Townsville's own Mikayla Newman was selected into the QLD Cowboys Women's side, joining Kristian Congoo, Shaun Francis, Michael Law, Lachlan Pierce, Samuel Pierce, Andrew Searle and Jared Townson in the Men's.
All of them are products of our junior touch football programme, having started their touch football careers on the very fields our kids play on every Thursday and Friday night.
The 2017 Elite 8 Series will be played alongside the 2017 National Touch League, beginning in Coffs Harbour on March 9 next year.
