Brothers, Redskins Looking for Title

The battle lines are drawn as Brothers and Redskins Thunder prepare for tonight's 12's Mixed Grand Final.

Rounding out the most successful winter season of mixed junior touch football since the introduction of the competition in 2016, Brothers and Redskins Thunder have made it through to the toughest game of the year - the grand final!

Brothers are looking to go back-to-back in 2018 after taking out last year's Mixed 12's grand final and, with an undefeated season behind them, are running in as hot favourites. Second-place Redskins Thunder are far from underdogs though, with only four points separating the team in their last clash on June 14.

Referees Jack Dreihius, Lachlan Carey, and Graeme Broughall will control the match, receiving their appointments based on their performance over the course of the season.

Unfortunately, Sharks Spartius Blue have forfeited their Mixed 14's grand final match against Brothers Blue, originally scheduled for 7:20 pm tonight. While it's a hollow victory-by-default for Brothers Blue, nothing can be taken away from the performances of both teams throughout the season; Spartius Blue running through an undefeated season, closely followed by Brothers Blue losing only one match.

The action gets underway at 6:30 pm at Queens Park, North Ward.
